This place is 5 starts. Amazing place and favorite to go to in Philly. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, the drinks, everything is amazing. The best Hummus you will ever try, super quick service and delicious. My favorite will be Pitroy Mushroom.

I used to come here to grab takeout, decided to return for lunch dining in in the new space, and was blown away! The ambience is amazing, bright, and fresh. This is definitely one of the top places to sit for an affordable work lunch / meeting. The platters are very reasonably priced and are gorgeous. Service is super quick and nice. we ordered two of the frozen hibiscus lemonades, and they were delicious - they also can come with alcohol. I ordered the vegetarian eggplant platter with the egg, and loved it. Complex flavors, pickles, lots of veggies - it was filling and very healthy. They also gave us ice cream sandwiches complimentary - the flavors were light and amazing. They were vegan and made with tahini, and felt like a cloud. Can't wait to return to try more of the menu!

We have been waiting for our reservation ever since this place re-opened with a re-imagined full dining menu while still serving up the classic hummus it's known for! It was everything and more! It's a full dining room and then there's a kitchen towards the back where you can see all the action taking place. We loved the food options - very inventive and super tasty! The service was so quick and informative! They were extra sweet and provided us a dessert on the house as we were celebrating an anniversary! The little custom touches along with the impeccable food and service earns this place the coveted 5 star review - highly recommend!

I've always loved Dizengoff, and I still love the things that were original to Dizengoff, namely the hummus platters. They are incredible. The current seasonal offering - the fava hummus - is my favorite version of the hummus platter that I have ever had there. The new items on the Dizengoff lunch menu are from the former Merkaz menu - the chicken schnitzel, sabich, and lamb shawarma. The sabich was my favorite go-to back before Merkaz closed (one time they had a chicken shawarma that slapped, and it was the only thing better than the sabich), and the Dizengoff version is basically identical. The OG Dizengoff would get 5 stars, and Merkaz would get 5 stars. The main reason the new Dizengoff only gets 4 or 4.5 stars from me is that Merkaz always had 3 or 4 amazing sides to choose from in the glass counter. I loved the eggplant side dish they used to have, and I loved getting a sabich platter and a bunch of sides to share with my husband. I really wish Dizengoff would bring back the Merkaz sides, or just have more sides, as they really round out the meal. A small reason that I withheld 1 star was that we ordered the Israeli pickles, which cost $6, but only came with 3 small pickles, 2 olives, and 2 cherry peppers. At basically $1 per pickle/olive/pepper, it was really not worth it, and I will not be ordering it again. Everything else is worth it for us. Excellent food, as always.

I've always been a big fan of Dizengoff and this was my first time visiting their revamped location. It certainly did not disappoint. Continues to serve some of the best hummus imaginable. The space itself is so cool- wouldn't have expected the color palate or the vibe chosen but wouldn't change it. Their menu (drinks and food) isn't so expansive so hopefully that changes as they move forward, but what is on it is exquisite. They've come a long way from the days of me wondering whether to order an extra portion of hummus to take home in the tiny spot they used to have!

Such a great restaurant. We went for a birthday and had the best experience - service, food, atmosphere, everything. Key highlights were 1) they had a personalized menu and 2) the Moroccan cigars. Will absolutely be back! RIP to Abe Fisher, another one of our favorites, but Dizengoff takes the mantle well!

Food: 5 out of 5 Menu: 3.5 out of 5 Service: 4.5 out of 5 Ambiance: 5 out of 5 Value for money: 3 out of 5 The hummus is pretty addictive and can be ordered with interesting toppings such as minced beef or mushrooms. This hummus will make its place in my personal top 5 list and pairs really well with the soft, fluffy pitas. The lunch menu is pretty tiny, so you don't have too many options besides the hummus - just a chicken schnitzel platter or a vegetarian equivalent with eggplant. The place does get full, so a reservation is highly recommended for any meal. Service was warm and attentive and I enjoyed my meal with friends. There isn't much to dislike about this place besides the limited menu and the steep pricing. Even in an era where inflation is a known problem, Dizengoff surprised me with a bill of $30 for a bowl of hummus with mushrooms, 2 pita breads, and a small-ish glass of frozen hibiscus lemonade.

I never had "old" Dizengoff, so I only know new and improved Dizengoff and all I can say is: lucky me! I had the pleasure of dining in for lunch with my boyfriend last week and had a really excellent time. Food is delicious, service was friendly and prompt, and prices are right where you'd expect for higher end mediterranean, which is what this is. It's the Solomonov pita and hummus you know and love, but with some fun additions, like the mushroom hummus we enjoyed as an appetizer. SO delicious and obviously what leftover dreams are made of. Options for lunch are limited, which I don't hate. You're basically choosing lamb, chicken, or eggplant in either a platter or a pita. I went with the chicken schnitzel platter and Mike went with the lamb pita, and he ordered correctly all around. The chicken schnitzel was fairly underwhelming in my opinion. A fried cutlet that was lacking the knockout flavor I've come to expect from this family of restaurants. I had to ration out my pickle to add some balance and moisture to the otherwise bland "star" of this dish. The cucumber tomato salad is outstanding and the tehina that comes with the chicken platter was appreciated. I did try a bite of the lamb pita and would 100% order that next time. The design and brightness of this restaurant is also where it shines, with a gorgeous bar area that would make for an excellent corporate happy hour or lunch meeting, and really adds some nice color to this otherwise fairly grey portion of Sansom. I will return often and am grateful to have this gem of a spot back open close to home.

Apparently, this restaurant used to be a small, mostly take-out lunch locale. Not anymore! Funky dining room with a beautiful bar and great vibes. If you've never tried orange wine, this is the place to do so (Trebbiano Spoletino Orange). So crisp and refreshing, served chilled. The skins of the grapes are what makes it orange in color. We love all-things-hummus, and we couldn't sample the menu fast enough. The Masabacha Hummus and Turkish Hummus were delicious. The soft and pillowy pita bread accompaniment enhanced our love. For our second course, we sampled the Petrozilla. We loved the crunch and tang of the pomegranates. Entrees included the Chicken Schnitzel and the Smoked Cabbage. Who knew cabbage could be so delicious? We realized we needed an additional item, so the Moroccan Cigars were up next (three to an order... the four of us made it work). The Tehina-Date Ice Cream Sandwich was incredible. I didn't have high expectations, but wow, this was unique and fantastic. Our server was so attentive and sweet. She kept us laughing. This place is a must try!
